    Description

This is a 1922 tobacco invoice from William Deiches & Company for the store owned by Isaac and Margaret Shortman in Smyrna, Kent County, Delaware. The Shortman's were prominent Smyrna citizens dating back at least as far as the 1860s. Isaac Shortman was one of the founding members of the local Masons Harmony Lodge No.13 in Smyrna in 1867. The invoice is stamped April 15, 1922. Measures 8"x7". A great piece of local Kent County history, it would look great framed and hanging on the wall of your Smyrna area home!
