    Description

    Still going through my grandmother’s old clothes box.
    This ladies’ day dress looks like the 1940s.
    It has a matching 52” fabric sash to use for the belt.
    It’s black with tan or light grey designs (sometimes it looks like tan other times light grey).
    It has a 10” side zipper.
    There are 21 covered buttons from the neck to the waist.
    It has short sleeves with small shoulder pads sewed in.
    The sleeves
    are pleated at the top.
    It’s collarless and could be silk fabric, it drapes well. I really don’t know fabric.
    I believe it’s homemade.
    I don’t see any holes or tears in the dress.
    It is actually a pretty dress. Sometimes it looks dark navy blue.
    It’s a neat fabric.
    I can see why my Nana saved it.
    These old clothes have been stored in bedroom closets.
