A vintage Barbie and a reproduction Ponytail Barbie are modeling a 1950s dress, purse and hat.
The 1950s style dress is made with a medium weight multi-colored cotton.  The abstract pattern has colors of pink, purple, aqua, blue and navy.  It is fully lined in navy lining fabric, except for the sleeves.  The high waist dress has set-in 3/4 length sleeves and a neckline that rises in the back.  There are plenty of darts and pleats to make the dress closely fitted.  A narrow light pink ribbon at the high waistline brings out the pink in the abstract pattern.  The back closes with snaps.
The light pink hat is two bonded layers of felt in a crescent shape decorated with a pink marabou feather and pink beads.  A pink "hat pin" is included.
The purple faux-leather handbag has a fold-over flap with a navy bead sewn to the front.
The dress is made using a pattern for Barbie of 1950s Vintage Vogue designs.   The hat is copied from a picture of hats worn during the 1950s.
This outfit will fit vintage and Silkstone Barbie doll bodies.
The dolls, shoes and stand are not part of this listing.
